NYCT ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADES AT LIVONIA AVENUE STATION, CANARSIE LINE

The NYCT Accessibility Upgrades at Livonia Avenue Station included upgrading the elevated station with three lines over a footbridge to become ADA-compliant. This project included the installation of elevators and ADA-required improvements to architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical components and a new communication system.​

  • Scope of Work:

    • Installation of two elevators with a passageway above the tracks for transfer between platforms and future transfer to the Junius St IRT station

    • New platform windscreens, canopies, and platform ADA modifications

    • Street level elevator machine room with new ADA compliant stairs to platforms and passageway

    • Agent booth upgrades include ADA deal tray, fire alarm, public address, and elevator intercom

    • ADA-required improvements to architectural, structural, mechanical and components

    • Control house and platforms are configured for ADA boarding
