MTA DESIGN BUILD SERVICES FOR 19 ELEVATORS REPLACEMENTS AT VARIOUS STATIONS
The MTA Design Build Services for 19 Elevators Replacements at Various Stations scope of work includes replacing nineteen elevators at subway stations in the boroughs of Queens and Manhattan. In addition, the project requires a separate long-term elevator maintenance contract to provide for long-term reliable maintenance of the new elevators.

Remove all existing equipment within each elevator machine room (EMR) (one EMR per elevator) and replace it with new equipment

Perform modifications to the elevator hoistways, level any uneven floor surfaces, and perform other work as necessary to ensure the new elevators meet current ADA requirements and there is an ADA-compliant path of travel to each elevator

Perform state-of-good repair work near the new elevators, within the elevator hoistways, and the EMRs, including removal of graffiti, repairs to structural elements, repairs to finishes, and remediation of water damage

Upgrade the existing communication systems, such as CCTV cameras, fire alarm system, and intercoms, and new communication screens will be provided within the elevator cabs for customer assistance
