Forte Construction Corp., a general contracting firm, has been honored with the first-ever Vito A. Guido Award at the 100th anniversary celebration of The Cooper Union Student Chapter of The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The award recognizes individuals and organizations that have meaningfully guided and mentored civil engineering students at New York City's The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Professor Guido was part of the school’s civil engineering faculty from 1979 until his passing in 2022. In 2024, Forte announced the creation of a $100,000 Forte Construction Corp. Scholarship Fund to help educate students with a demonstrated interest in construction and/or construction management, playing a key role in the college’s continued 10-year plan to become fully tuition-free.
