EL 218 is in Service at 14th Street–Union Square

The 18th elevator placed into service under the 19 Elevators Project, delivered in collaboration with the MTA and Lead Designer Goldman Copeland—completed ahead of schedule. EL 218 also brings our full scope at this station to a successful close.

Serving the L Line, EL 218 expands accessibility at one of Manhattan’s most dynamic and heavily trafficked transit hubs. The scope also included construction of a new elevator enclosure, further enhancing access within the existing station footprint.

Strong coordination between field teams, subcontractors, and the MTA kept progress moving across multiple active locations throughout the project.
