EL 622 Now in Service at Columbus Circle

EL 622 is now in service at 59th Street–Columbus Circle.

Constructed entirely from the ground up, this brand-new mezzanine-to-platform elevator delivers a significant accessibility enhancement within a major Manhattan transit hub.

The scope extended far beyond the elevator installation itself, including structural steel construction, Elevator Machine Room buildout, AFC reconfiguration, and tile restoration at both the mezzanine and platform levels to fully integrate the new elevator within an active operating station.

Serving riders traveling through Columbus Circle each day, EL 622 improves accessibility throughout the A, B, C, D, and 1 line complex while creating a more efficient and convenient passenger experience.
