Elevator 324 Now in Service at Canal Street

Progress never stops, another accomplishment for 37 Elevators, MTA Contract E34054! Elevator 324 is now in service at Canal Street, serving the uptown 6 line! This marks 10 out of 37 elevators completed under this contract, in a joint venture with Gramercy Group Inc., and in collaboration with Stantec Consulting Services and the MTA.

With the elevator machine room located a good distance from the elevator itself, our team carefully coordinated GO’s (General Orders) to bring in the new equipment and remove the old. Thanks to the dedication of our team, along with strong coordination between the MTA and PMC, every scheduled HOLD point was met on target, with positive results, keeping the project right on schedule.

Every installation provides our team with an opportunity to learn and take those lessons forward, making every achievement better than the last. We are proud to be a part of the MTA’s commitment to deliver a safer, more accessible, modernized transit infrastructure.
