The precast panel installation for P.S. 487 is complete! In just under four weeks, our team was able to erect 200 Precast Panels, with the largest Panel weighing over 65,000 lbs. Precast Panels as an exterior finish allowed for a quick and controlled installation to enclose the building before the incoming cold weather. Our team did an excellent job!
This four story elementary school will educate over 500 students in the Bronx. The fully air-conditioned building will contain four pre-kindergarten classrooms, three kindergarten classrooms, and fifteen standard classrooms.
The building will also have a District 75 special education component consisting of eight classrooms, four speech/resource rooms, and occupational & physical therapy rooms. Completion for the 2024-2025 school year is on track.
