The elevators are now open at 181st Street "A" train station in Washington Heights! Three high-capacity elevators replaced ones from the 1930s.
The upgrade included wider doors and provides access between the lower mezzanine near the platform and the upper mezzanine at Fort Washington Avenue. The work finished on time despite the pandemic.
