We're thrilled to announce we will be breaking ground on a new four story middle school in Brooklyn, I.S. 004. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a secure and supportive learning environment for over 400 students.
The building will be constructed using structural steel and will have an exterior rain-screen finish. With a 14,000 SF building footprint and a 21,000 SF site footprint, the school includes a gymnasium, cafeteria, and District 75 special education classrooms on floors 1 and 2 to meet the educational needs of all students.
The project also includes a green roof complete with solar panels, and the foundation will consist of concrete footings with sporadic soil anchors embedded at a maximum depth of 60'. We're proud to be building this new school for the students and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the community.
