Elevator Service is Back at Crown Heights–Utica Avenue Station

EL 322 and EL 323 are now in service at Crown Heights–Utica Avenue Station, marking the 25th and 26th elevators commissioned within 15 months, under the 37 Elevators Project.
Delivered by the Forte–Gramercy Joint Venture alongside the MTA, Lead Designer Stantec, and the Naik–STV JV PMC team, these elevators serve riders on the 3 and 4 lines at what is currently the easternmost ADA-accessible station along the corridor.
The return of elevator service is an important win for the Crown Heights community, improving access for riders who rely on elevators, including people with mobility devices, parents with strollers, and passengers traveling with luggage.
In addition to the elevator replacements, the upgrades included a new sump pit at EL 323, wall and floor finish replacements, upgrades to Elevator Machine Room equipment, sidewalk improvements surrounding the EL 322 street-level enclosure, and a distinctive curved glass canopy at the station entrance.
