The utility work on Design-Build Services for 68th Street - Hunter College Station is well underway. This 102 million dollar project includes the installation of three new elevators and many other ADA improvements.
One of the elevators will be placed on the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue and East 68th Street, along with a relocated stairway on the same corner. Two other new entrances will also be built on the southwest corner of 69th and Lexington. The mid-block of Lexington inside Imperial House's former retail space and an existing stairway on the northwest corner of 68th Street will be rebuilt.
The heavily-used Upper East Side subway station has been awaiting these updates, and the Forte-Citnalta JV is proud to work on this project, with the completion date on track for the end of 2024.
